During the women's entrepreneurship awareness week which took place March 5th-16th, Université PSL met with student-entrepreneurs who have launched their start-ups, with the support of the PSL-Pépite program. Today, Claire De Moratti talked about her start-up, Trace Ta Route ("Chose your path"), which offers a GPS in 3D allowing Bachelors students to visualize each stage of their education.

PSL: At what age did you start?

22 years old

PSL: What were your motivations?

This project was born from my own experiences and the failures I have seen in regard to post-bac orientation and the essential phase of student reflection. Trace Ta Route provides access to both relevant and concrete information about school training. It allows students to carefully choose training courses that fit their ambitions and personality. The project is based on values such as equal opportunities and the right of access to information.

PSL: What personal fulfillment do you find in the management of your project?

I am driven by this cause and it is a hot topic of the day. Proposing an alternative and innovative solution to these issues is a daily source of energy for me. It is a social project, 100% digital, whose UX is designed by students and for students, with the ambition to shake up the current operations and enhance the quality of French Higher Education.

PSL: What qualities do you think are essential to undertake this work?

Ambition, autonomy, curiosity, be resilient and the support from close friends. Entrepreneurship is a philosophy of life and you have to find a balance between your project and your personal life.

PSL: What is your biggest achievement?

My greatest achievement is to wake up every day with the same desire, the same passion and ambition to go further. I enjoy seeing the motivation of others around me, who want to accompany me in this adventure. I enjoy the interactive meetings that inspire new ideas.

PSL: What was the hardest step?

I started the project with a friend, and this collaboration did not work because of our differences in personality and the gap between our involvement in the project. I decided to continue alone, and it is a test that many entrepreneurs go through, which unfortunately remains difficult to overcome and generally results in the end of a friendship.

PSL: What is your little thing that boosts your daily life?

A freshly-squeezed lemon juice and 30 min of yoga.

PSL: What message would you like to pass on to young entrepreneurs?

To believe in the strength of a project - this is a big opportunity for our generation. We can build together a different world, closer to our desires and our ideals!
