Exhibition: AiR - Art in Research

exposition art in research

Liquid crystals evoking the waves of Hokusai, musical ripples of a soap film, DNA tracers looking like pointillist works ... The start-up Art in Research will exhibit an unprecedented set of scientific photographs at the Théâtre de la Reine Blanche.

This first exhibition, which is open to the public, will present a new collection of scientific photographs made in the heart of laboratories by neurophysicists, mathematicians, physicists, biologists ...
Co-founded by Alexandre Darmon, a former ESPCI PhD student who is passionate about science and photography, AiR is one of the student start-ups of the PSL-Pépite program. AiR’s goal is to enhance scientific research through images. The start-up brings together a dozen scientists and offers individuals and businesses the opportunity to contribute to the funding and promotion of research by acquiring one of the works presented.

Opening of the exhibition is on February 11th from 8pm to 10pm in the presence of the artists-researchers and the AiR team.

The opening will be preceded by a meeting "Scenes of Science" during which Michael Benzaquen, Physicist, CNRS researcher and Alexandre Darmon, will discuss the place occupied by the image in scientific research.
