2019 Amendement in bioethics law

Cellule

This online lecture ends the series about "Bioethics: the borders of life?" organized by École Pratique des Hautes Études - PSL and the Institut d'études avancées de Paris, by Séverine Mathieu (EPHE-PSL) and Frédéric Worms (ENS-PSL).

In 1994, in France, three new laws are passed to regulate bioethics. They were meant to define the rules in fields such as organ donation, assisted reproductive technology (PMA), prenatal diagnosis, research on embryos.

The law was to be amended at the Assemblée Nationale during the 2020 Spring but the session was postponed because of Covid-19 pandemic.

As part of the lectures series started last autumn, two researchers analyze the amendements submitted for the bioethics laws.
