Debate: Medicine, algorithm and liability

médecine et algorithmes

The ESPGG invites you to debate with specialists during a "debate conference" dedicated to medical algorithms.

Nowadays, Algorithms are able to diagnose or predict the evolution of a disease. Thanks to recent advances in image recognition, they can effectively detect damages in the body.

Could they become more efficient than humans?
Who then bears the responsibility for a patient's medical decisions?
The doctor, the code, the coder?

Such issues are at the heart of scientific, citizen, and political concerns... on which the ESPGG invites you to debate with specialists during a "debate conference" organized on the occasion of the exhibition "Under Influences, the Science of Choice".

The Espace des Sciences Pierre-Gilles de Gennes is the place for engagement with the public at ESPCI Paris and Université PSL.
