From the newest and most pressing scientific and political issues, from artificial intelligence to climate and migrations, humanity is changing and rely on the Humanities. What are they? To what emergencies do they respond? How are they being transformed? How can they be transmitted?
The École normale supérieure has always articulated the sciences and the humanities thus understood, in their rigor, their diversity, their openness and their effects on the world. The ENS can and must therefore contribute to meeting this need. This is the meaning of the Global Humanities program launched in January 2020. This program includes an opening colloquium: Humanities Issues. It also brings together several transdisciplinary projects either presented, launched or announced during the colloquium.
