Outskirts and borders

The 146th national symposium of the sociétés historiques et scientifiques (Aubervilliers, 2022) will deal with outskirts and borders and bring together on Campus Condorcet hundreds of scientists, students and members from learned societies. Before the event, the CTHS organizes a first session to explore the various angles of this topic.

From the territorial point of view, the concept of "outskirts and borders" has two meanings: the parts of a territory closest to its outer limits or the parts that are furthest from a center. How to observe these plural definitions and explain them? Eminent representatives of the different scientific sections of the CTHS will attempt to answer the questions.
