A SACRe meeting with Tim Ingold

RencontreSacre

The Ecole des Beaux-Arts de Paris hosts the next SACRe meeting with anthropologist Tim Ingold.

As part of the monthly program of the SACRe Meetings, dedicated to the dialogue between research and creation, the Beaux-Arts de Paris welcome Tim Ingold, professor emeritus in social anthropology at the University of Aberdeen. In his talk entitled "Art and Science for a sustainable world", Tim Ingold will question and put into perspective the links between anthropology and the practice of art, design and architecture, in the context of the contemporary evolution of science and our relationship to life. The talk will be followed by a discussion facilitated by Zoé Brioude (master's student in Theatre Studies at ENS-PSL) and Emile de Visscher (designer, SACRe PhD from ENSAD).

The discussion will take place in English. Tim Ingold will be present in videoconference and will discuss with the attendance from the amphitheater of Les Loges, at the Beaux-Arts de Paris.
