Scientific integrity: from principles to facts

Visuel evenement intregrite scientifique

Conference & debate with Pierre Corvol, Brigitte Dormont, Jean-Michel Raimond and Stéphanie Ruphy.

Scientific integrity is a prerequisite for the development of a science which all can trust. Spectacular violations have drawn increasing attention to this essential component of research, which is now enshrined in French law. In this conference & debate, available to all PSL members, we will discuss the intangible principles of integrity, the nature of possible violations, and responsibilities. We will describe the actions taken at the European, national and PSL levels.

Speakers in the debate are:

  • Pierre Corvol, a Professor emeritus at the Collège de France
  • Brigitte Dormont, an economist, Professor at Dauphine-PSL, PSL's Scientific Integrity referent
  • Jean-Michel Raimond, Professor emeritus of physics at Sorbonne University, scientific integrity advisor to the Collège de France
  • Stéphanie Ruphy, Professor of Philosophy of Science at the Ecole Normale Supérieure, Director of the French Office for Scientific Integrity (OFIS)
