Tolkien and the Sciences

As the book Tolkien et les sciences (Belin, 2019) is being released and as part of the Nuit de la lecture 2020, Loïc Mangin, co-director of the publication and deputy editor-in-chief of the special editions Pour la Science, will present the scientific universe of the author of The Lord of the Rings and Bilbo the Hobbit.

Hosted by Didier Nectoux (Director of the Musée de minéralogie MINES ParisTech), the evening will bring surprising discoveries around mineralogy, precious stones and the geography of Middle Earth, on the borders of science and imagination!

The meeting will be followed by a signing session.
