Run by the Ecole Normale Supérieure - PSL and co-accredited with the Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales (EHESS), the master's degree in cognitive science offers an interdisciplinary education, and is open to all students, whether they have previously studied in the sciences or the humanities.

Entirely taught in English, courses cover all areas of cognitive science (cognitive neuroscience, neuroimaging, computational cognitive science, artificial intelligence, experimental cognitive psychology, psychophysics, philosophy of mind, analytical philosophy, quantitative social science, evolutionary psychology, linguistics, psycholinguistics, etc.) as well as its major applications (education and cognition, behavioral public policy, cognitive engineering, etc.).

Upon graduation, students go on to pursue doctoral studies at academic institutions in France and around the world, or to pursue professional careers in government or the private sector in applied cognitive science.

The process involves an online application and interview.
The programme is open to all students with a Bachelor's degree, whether they come from a science or humanities background.

Curriculum Vitae
Cover letter: The cover letter is an essential part of your application. There is no set format, but it should not exceed three pages. It should highlight your knowledge, commitment and interest in studying cognitive science. There's no need to repeat what's already on your CV. It is more important to highlight your intellectual, scientific or professional development. Please also indicate how your interests match the strengths of our programme, and list the courses you would like to take and explain why. This will help us understand how you can fit into and benefit from our Masters programme.
Copies of all university transcripts and diplomas (English translations for diplomas in languages other than French and English).
Letter(s) of recommendation (minimum 1).
Optionally, you can add a piece of written work produced during your previous studies (dissertation or other essay produced during a class). If you have no such document, do not write a document specifically for the application. Your covering letter is much more important.

An official English test is not required for application.
