UNDER THE INFLUENCE - Three Movements Through the Work of John Cassavetes and William Shakespeare

Inspired by the work of John Cassavetes, Under the Influence, we worked a play in which the actor is the key to question a beauty which hurts: that of a living world - thus uncertain – whichis shown, among others, by bodies in effort and in emotion and "landscapes" faces in turmoil. A world with shifting, unstable, ghostly interpretations, is this not the heart of Shakespeare's beating? So we took some side roads to rub shoulders with William still under the influence of John.
 
And because Cassavetes always loved the unfinished and the unresolved, we’ve tried a suspended work, both intuitive and intimate.
