  • The stakes of the development of the wood energy sector in France
seminaire de la filière bois organisé par mines paristech membre de l'université psl

Since the 2000s, the wood energy sector has developed: today nearly 6,000 collective and industrial power plants and boiler plants are in operation or undergoing installation in France. This growth is part of the government's ecological transition strategy.

Organized by MINES ParisTech, this seminar will allow for a debate on the experiences and points of view of professionals in the wood energy sector. It brings together industry professionals such as the CIBE (Interprofessional Committee for Wood Energy), VEOLIA recycling and UNIPER, which operates the largest wood-energy plant in France.

This seminar will address the current landscape and evolution of sector regulations, recent development perspectives and challenges for industrialists.

Finally, the seminar will also address activities related to wood supply, the preparation and transport of this biomass and the production of energy from this resource in an increasingly competitive context.
