The 2020 cross-disciplinary day at the doctoral school 472 is centered on "representing (yourself)" and will investigate how inevitable it is to use representations to learn about other people and about the world.
The study will run on exploring to what extent "self-representation" is a driving process of subjectivity and its constructions, thus of sociability, communication and empathy.
The themes addressed by the doctoral students of Doctoral School 472 during this day will be: representation in acts: artistic sublimations and mediations; visual representation: imaginary projections and virtual locations; representation in science; representation of the self, representation of the other.
