PSL Orchestra and Choir Concert at Les Invalides

Dome des Invalides

Saint-Louis des Invalides Cathedral welcomes the PSL Orchestra and Choir for an exceptional concert to mark the 120th anniversary of Francis Poulenc's birth

In the heart of the Hôtel des Invalides, two golden ages of French Art are watching each other. Saint-Louis Cathedral, a masterpiece of Mansart and classicism, and the works of Ravel and Poulenc, which embody this new era at the beginning of the twentieth century, when French music was the most audacious and Paris, the capital of the arts. Under the direction of Johan Farjot, the PSL orchestra and choir will perform this inspiring repertoire for you, also exploring the composer Eugène Anthiome and his Ave Maria, as well as Vincent Warnier, who will lend his talent as an organist to Poulenc's concerto.

Evening program:

Maurice Ravel, Pavane for a deceased infanta

Eugene Anthiome, Ave Maria

Francis Poulenc, Organ Concerto; Gloria for soprano, choir and orchestra

Orchestre & Chœur Paris Sciences & Lettres, Vincent Warnier, organ
direction: Johan Farjot. French music. Commemoration of the 120th anniversary of the birth of Francis Poulenc
