Five PSL researchers win the 2018 ERC Starting Grants

On July 27, 2018, the European Research Council published the list with the 37 French young researchers who obtained the 2018 Starting Grants. Five of them belong to PSL.

The ERC Starting Grants are awarded to talented early-career scientists (with 2-7 years of experience since completion of PhD) who have already produced excellent supervised work, are ready to work independently and show potential to be research leaders. Starting Grants may be awarded up to € 1.5 million for a period of 5 years.

Below are the PSL winners of the 2018 Starting Grants call for proposals:

  • Klaus Eyer, PostDoc fellow at the Laboratoire Colloïdes & Matériaux divisés (ESPCI Paris)
  • Dennis Kurzbach, PostDoc fellow at the Chemisty department (UMR 7203 Dynamics and Structure of BioMolecules: ENS/CNRS/Sorbonne Université)
  • Giorgio Seano, team leader at the Tumor Microenvironment Laboratory (CNRS/INSERM/Université Paris Sud/ Institut Curie)
  • Marco Faustini, researcher at the Laboratoire de Chimie et de la Matière Condensée de Paris (Collège de France - UPMC -CNRS)
  • Chowra Makaremi, CNRS researcher at IRIS (UMR EHESS - CNRS - Université Paris 13 - Inserm)
