Biomedical imaging: cooperation agreement signed with Beijing University (PKU)

On Tuesday, July 9, a delegation from Beijing University (PKU), led by its president, Professor Ping HAO, was welcomed at the Ecole normale supérieure - PSL, for the signing of a cooperation agreement with the Université PSL, represented by its president, Professor Alain Fuchs. This agreement strengthens the collaborations between the two universities in the field of biological and biomedical imaging, a multidisciplinary field in constant evolution and for which they share a common scientific excellence and development strategy.

The PSL-QLife Convergence Institute, launched in 2017, brings together about 100 high-level research teams in physics, chemistry, biology and informatics among PSL's institutions and partners. It will be the driving force and beneficiary of this new agreement. The actions planned include access to common technological platforms between the two universities, including the National Biomedical Imaging Center of Beijing University (NBIC), as well as the organization of scientific symposia and conferences, the development of academic training at the bachelor's, master's and doctorate levels open to students from both universities, and the organization of summer schools.

This signature comes on the very day of the launch of the first joint PSL-PKU symposium on the theme of the scientific challenges at stake with the technologies involved in the fields of biological and health research. This conference was held at the Institut Curie on July 9 and 10, 2019.
