This platform will allow us to implement a new mode of collaboration with our industrial partners wishing to validate innovative methods.

Research in green chemistry has experienced major scientific advances in recent years, thanks in large part to contributions by the cutting-edge scientific teams at PSL’s three engineering schools: Chimie ParisTech-PSL, ESPCI-PSL, and MINES ParisTech-PSL. Innovative methods, based on flow chemistry and emulsions among other concepts, offer substantial benefits in terms of safety and environmental quality.

Drawing on this shared expertise and active scientific collaborations, the three schools responded to the call for proposals released by the Ile de France region, with support from PSL Enterprise & Innovation service and the university projects support unit.
The technology platform will receive part of the €4.3 million budget allocated to the five winners of the SESAME call for proposals in PIA categories.

The goal of Paris FLOW Tech is to develop disruptive technologies within the heart of the Paris region by forming and organizing particularly innovative partnerships with companies in the fine chemicals/pharmaceuticals and formulation/cosmetology sectors, helping them to become leaders in their field.

“This platform will allow us to implement a new mode of collaboration with our industrial partners wishing to validate innovative methods. The three schools represent a hub of expertise in continuous flow that is unparalleled in France, to maximize the research and development possibilities offered by the platform’s equipment,” explains Michael Tatoulian, the platform’s coordinator.
