Master's programs taught entirely in English

Listed below are PSL Master's programs taught entirely in English during the full length of the program (M1+M2). Some of the programs are affiliated with PSL Phd tracks (MSc+PhD, 5-year fully funded program) designed for high-potential students who aim to become top-level international researchers. Please note that a few master's programs offer specific tracks in English as indicated below. In the absence of any indication, all tracks are taught in English.

Here are the most frequently asked questions regarding the required level of English.

 

If the required language level isn't specified on the program's page, how can I determine whether my English proficiency meets the selection criteria?

Generally, in the absence of a specified language requirement, applicants are expected to have at least a B2/C1 level in English to follow a fully English-taught program/track with ease.

What English language proficiency tests do you accept as part of the application?

Unless otherwise specified on the program’s page, we accept most major, internationally recognized English language tests. Please refer to the table above for more details, including the equivalent levels across major international tests.

My previous program was taught entirely in English. Do I still need to provide an English test?

Generally, if your previous program was taught entirely in English, you are not required to submit an English test. However, it is recommended to provide a certificate (MOI) or a letter from your university confirming that the program was conducted in English.

Do I still need French proficiency if the program I wish to apply for is fully taught in English?

Generally, it is not required, except for certain programs with specific bilingual requirements. Please check the program’s page under the “Admissions” tab for any language prerequisites.

Is a language test certificate always required as part of my application?

Some programs do not require a language proficiency test certificate for the application. Please refer to the application portal relevant to your profile for detailed information.
